Chinese media press and TV personnel were included in the delegation. Consul General Gao, head of the Consulate General in San Francisco, invited the Xinhua News Agency (China's official and largest news agency) and ICN TV, a San Francisco station. A Portland Chinese Times reporter and photographer also covered all aspects of the four day conference.

These are the vehicles by which the Chinese speaking world will learn about southern Oregon. These articles provide a key component in name recognition and branding which is critical in tourism, business and educational attraction.
