Hellgate Jetboat

From the Welcome Luncheon the delegation walked to the loading dock for a wild ride on the Jetboat up the scenic Rogue River to Hellgate!

Breakfast Reception for mr. Ma at Illahe Studios and Gallery Ashland, OR

Treasures from China! Illahe Studios and Gallery is honored to display an exquisite collection of original contemporary and classic calligraphy by world class Chinese artist, Mr. Ma Weihua. A reception was provided for Mr. Ma and the delegation by Sue Springer, owner of Illahe Studios and Gallery.

Illahe Gallery provides a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange and learning.

Mr. Ma’s Calligraphy is presented on different materials in various ways from paper to wood, bamboo, china and stone. Winner of many international awards, in keeping with calligraphy practice of 40 years, Mr. Ma has explored the styles of different time periods and moved forward with further development of Chinese characters.

Crater lake

A trip to southern Oregon must include exploring Crater Lake, the deepest and purist lake in North America. It is certainly a jewel in Oregon. Mr. Craig Ackerman, Superintendent of the Crater Lake National Park gave us a personal tour of what we could see.
